Classic Coverings was originally founded in 1988 by Jan Clifton, a long-time local, who served her customers with integrity and style until her retirement in 2003. At that time, Dave and Mari Latimer purchased the business from Jan, assuring her that the business would continue to operate with a focus on customer satisfaction, quality products and quality service. In July of 2006, after being nominated by Hunter Douglas Northwest to participate in the Hunter Douglas Gallery program, our new Gallery on the west side of Bend opened. Becoming a Hunter Douglas Gallery was consistent with our personal and business values, striving to be “best in class” in all that we do.  In early 2009, we created a new division, Shade on Demand, to focus on the growing automated shading system business.
